  • Passing the statutory medical clearance conducted by the Immigration Medical Service.

Yes. The statutory bond lodged with the Autoritat Financera Andorrana (AFA) (€50,000 for active or €47,500 for passive) is a non-interest-bearing escrow guarantee. It is fully refunded to you when you permanently surrender your residency card, provided you have no outstanding legal, tax, or social security liabilities.

Processing times generally vary between 2 to 5 weeks after submitting the complete dossier with all apostilled certificates and undergoing the mandatory medical exam. You can track live updates using your dossier reference on our tracker page.

Andorra has one of the most competitive tax regimes in Europe:
  • €0 to €24,000: 0% (Tax-free allowance)
  • €24,001 to €40,000: 5%
  • Above €40,000: Flat 10% maximum tax cap
  • Corporate tax (IS) is fixed at a flat 10%.

All capital checks and bond certificates must be issued through one of the three regulated domestic banks supervised by the AFA: MoraBanc, Andbank, or Creand Crèdit Andorrà. Foreign bank accounts cannot be used directly for official AFA escrow receipts.
